Practice is crucial when learning a new language, and sharing day-to-day life with a local family is a great choice to practice and improve your Spanish speaking skills outside the classroom while experiencing by close the traditional lifestyle of a Peruvian family.
Our host families are carefully selected and each student is provided with a private room and access to all common areas. We require all our host families to live within a reasonable distance of the school (some walking distance, and others with a maximum of 15 minutes by public transit) however due to the residential nature of the local area, many are located close by.
For many of our students, family homestays end up being one of the most rewarding experiences they have while studying abroad. There’s so much your host family can teach you about the Spanish language and South American culture to help you gain additional knowledge and insights outside the classroom.
Staying in a family is a truly wonderful experience and many students make lifetime friends with their host family. You will be treated as a member of their family and free to come and go as you wish however you may be expected to obey house rules.
